Do I need to improve my typing?

Whether you're a "two-finger typist" or are already fairly proficient, improving your typing skills can be extremely beneficial. The bottom line is this: if you type with one or two fingers (hunt-and-peck style) on each hand, the average person can probably manage 25-35 WPM (words per minute). If you learn to touch type, you can increase that speed to 50-100 WPM.

Most of the things we do on a computer involve typing. And the quicker you can type, the quicker you get those tasks (online research, writing essays, book reports, term papers, etc.) done. The quicker you get your typing tasks completed, the more productive you are which lets you:
