Typer Island is an exciting place to learn to type! You’ll be motivated to improve your typing skills as you travel through five unique lands leading up to the Castle. In each land, you’ll experience new and exciting typing challenges, learn new keys, and build speed and accuracy.  To become ruler of Typer Island you must earn access to the Castle. Inside the Castle you’ll discover new challenges and practice material to help refine your typing skills. Best of all, as Ruler, you can roam anywhere on the Island and visit your favorite typing games and activities.

Toby and Lafitte are your invaluable guides on Typer Island. These new friends teach you everything you need to know about touch-typing and give you helpful advice to conquer each land, improve your skills, and capture the Castle.  Proven educational and instructional techniques are incorporated into Typer Island’s lessons and tests.  WPM (Words Per Minute) and accuracy scores are reported after each typing activity and results are saved for up to ten typists.

The adventure continues once you rule Typer Island. You must fend off dangers that seek to overthrow your kingdom. Only with proven typing skills can you defeat these obstacles, keep your throne, and continue your reign!

In the dusty Old West, you’ll learn the home row keys in a fun environment.  Izzy’s Oasis teaches the proper finger-to-key placement and Wild Bill’s builds basic typing speed and accuracy.

On the Water

In the Air
By the time you reach In the Air, your fingers will be flying. Diamond Glider helps you develop a steady typing rhythm – essential for proficient typing, and your new skills will literally blast off in Flotsam Fighter II, where your typing will be out of this world!

Typer Island Castle
Congratulations! To reach the Castle you’ll have demonstrated your skills as a proficient Touch Typist. Inside the Castle, you’ll discover Storyville, Tomb Typer, the Treasure Chest, as well as additional engaging lessons and tests to help you refine your keyboarding skills. You’ll also have earned the right to visit anywhere you want on the Island!

Under the Sea
Take the plunge Under the Sea to finish learning the entire alphabetic keyboard! Master the most challenging keys and escape danger in the murky depths of Typer Shark Abyss and Sea Creatures. Look out!

Over the Edge
Back on Typer Island you’ll sharpen your skills in the rugged terrain of Over the Edge. Play Cliffhanger and Xtreme Typing to further develop your typing speed and dexterity.
